Calculator data

Interactive calculator arithmetic runs in your browser. Some tools save your inputs in local storage on your device so they can be restored on a later visit. Reset or your browser’s site-data controls can clear saved values. If you create or open a scenario link, its URL contains the selected inputs; anyone with that link can read them, and requested URLs may appear in browser history, hosting logs or analytics. Public API requests send their supplied inputs to the server to calculate a response. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in share links.

Analytics

tannerd.net uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, including page visits, calculator interactions, and identifiable referral categories such as visits arriving from AI assistants or search experiences. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, and interaction information according to its own policies.

The site's Cloudflare Worker also records aggregate technical usage of public API and agent interfaces, such as protocol type, calculator/tool name, request status, coarse crawler/referral classification, country code supplied by Cloudflare, and requested path. Calculator input values are deliberately excluded from this agent-usage analytics dataset.

Advertising

The site may use third-party advertising services in the future. If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies as permitted by applicable law and consent requirements.

Search Radar and Google API data

Search Radar is a private, owner-operated search intelligence system. When the Google account owner explicitly authorizes access through OAuth, Search Radar may access Google Search Console performance and URL Inspection data, Google Analytics reporting, AdSense site/reporting data, a user-selected BigQuery dataset, and Google Ads Keyword Planner market data. Search Radar requests separate OAuth grants for the connected features it uses and is designed around read-only access wherever Google provides an appropriate read-only scope.

Google user data is used only to provide Search Radar's search-intelligence, measurement, diagnostics, market-research, experiment, and retrospective features. The Google Ads integration is limited by the application to keyword-planning research; Search Radar does not create, edit, pause, or otherwise manage advertising campaigns. Google user data is not sold or used for targeted advertising. Search Radar itself does not train machine-learning models on Google user data.

Storage and sharing

OAuth access and refresh credentials are kept server-side as platform secrets and are not published in page source. Search Radar may retain derived telemetry snapshots, experiment history, Search Commits, and other bounded operational records needed to compare changes over time. Search Console bulk-export data remains in the Google Cloud BigQuery project selected by the account owner and is queried read-only by Search Radar. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers needed to operate the service and may be returned to an authenticated client when the account owner explicitly invokes an authorized integration; it is not sold or provided to data brokers.

Retention, revocation, and deletion

The Google account owner can stop future Google API access by revoking the application's OAuth grant or removing the corresponding server-side credentials. Because Search Radar is currently a private owner-operated installation, the operator directly controls retained Search Radar records and can delete stored snapshots, experiment/history data, OAuth credentials, and the connected BigQuery dataset when they are no longer needed. Operational hosting logs may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. If Search Radar is later offered to external users, a public user-facing deletion-request mechanism will be provided before that access is offered.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Search Radar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing or improving the user-facing functionality described above and is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
