The crossover is not just material price

Bagged concrete can have a higher material cost per cubic yard but still win on a tiny pour because a truck order may carry delivery or short-load fees. On larger pours, the time required to mix dozens or hundreds of bags can dominate the decision.

Ready-mix, short-load and delivery prices are local. Bag yield also varies by product size. The calculator intentionally keeps every price and coverage assumption editable.

What labor value means here

Labor value is not necessarily a payroll wage. It is the dollar value you assign to the time spent mixing and placing. Set it to zero if you want a cash-only comparison.
